João is a data and cloud engineering expert with a background in biomedical engineering. He currently leads a fully cloud native modern data stack platform in the commercial domain of Roche. Before joining Roche, João provided consultancy services in big data projects for the telco industry, leveraging data streaming technologies and distributed computing to automate business processes. João is passionate about all things data but has a particular interest in scalability, process optimization, and people. He believes that building a strong data team is critical to the success of any data project, and he is committed to helping Roche build reliable, secure, and efficient data infrastructures.
