The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a unique identifier which connects key reference information to enable clear and unique identification of legal entities participating in transactions and their ownership structure. The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) is responsible for upholding the integrity of the Global LEI System by maintaining a high level of data quality. To deliver on this promise, GLEIF has established a rigorous data quality management framework, part of which includes continuous and proactive monitoring of data quality across the Global LEI Index. GLEIF has defined a series of data quality checks which are run automatically pre- and post-publication of the data. The results of these checks help to generate key metrics to describe an entry’s data quality level. In this session we will give you a demo of a web-based dashboard tool used by GLEIF and its partners and created by &effect, to analyze the state and maturity of the data. The proactive management of the data enables the data user to understand existing patterns, identify potential problems earlier and (re-)act accordingly in day-to-day operations.
